Since 2013, the McKenna Foundation has committed more than $1 million in seed funding to create the New Braunfels Community Foundation (NBCF). Funding supported the organization in developing a structure for active philanthropy in our community and inspired an asset that will aid and improve the quality of life for our citizens for decades to come. The organization also provides a way for community members to have direct involvement with non-profits by developing funding for causes for which they are passionate.

The NBCF partners with non-profit organizations and families to open funds that will contribute to a legacy of giving and benefit residents of this area for generations to come. Through more than 90 active funds, NBCF has distributed more than $6 million in grants to non-profits as well as providing more than $250,000 in scholarships to local teens pursuing post-high school education.

Additionally, more than 200 local like-minded, philanthropic individuals have engaged with the NBCF through the NB Next and NB Women Go Giving Circles.

McKenna is active in providing services to enhance the health and well-being of the New Braunfels community, serving as a partner and resource to others who share our goals — now and for future generations.
