Non-profit organizations serving New Braunfels and Comal County who have been the recipient of a grant from the McKenna Foundation may apply for capacity-building support.

How to apply

The first step is to submit the Capacity Building Grant Application Form with answers to the narrative questions. If approved, this Phase 1 application will fund the cost for representatives from your non-profit to complete the Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) online. The assessment tool provides insight into the life cycle of your organization as well as opportunities and recommendations where capacity-building support is needed.

The McKenna Foundation will review Phase 2 Capacity Building Grant Applications from non-profit organizations who have received their CCAT results and are in need of further funding to complete a capacity-building goal. Phase 1 funding does not guarantee further funding from a Phase 2 application.

To submit or discuss the contents of your Capacity Building Grant Application or for general questions about this process, please email
