A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law, Judge Stephens has been the Presiding Judge of Comal County Court at Law #2 since 2004 and the Comal County Veterans Treatment Court since 2015. He currently serves as the Presiding Judge of the Comal County Juvenile Court and the Administrative Judge for the County Courts at Law. He is a member of the Texas Judicial Commission on Mental Health, the National Council of Family and Juvenile Court Judges, and the Texas Guardianship Association. Judge Stephens has been married to his wife Kathleen for 40 years, is a father of three, and enjoys woodworking, pickleball, and BBQ competitions.
