NB Housing Partners: NB Housing Partners received an investment to expand its First Footing facility, increasing bed capacity by over 48% and ensuring more of our neighbors experiencing homelessness have access to safe shelter. The expansion also increases housing-focused services and dedicates space for both physical and mental health care.
New Braunfels Youth Collaborative: NBYC received an investment to launch a structured youth wellness program at the Mill Street Youth Center that will provide low-barrier mental health resources to New Braunfels youth aged 11-18. This vital program delivers services that promote resilience, emotional regulation, and early intervention for our community’s youth.
New Braunfels Christian Ministries’ Volunteers in Medicine: VIM received an investment to introduce on-site counseling services, equipping patients with the tools to improve their behavioral health. This funding enables NBCM to respond more effectively, deliver holistic care, and improve long-term patient outcomes.
Connections Individual and Family Services: Connections received an investment to expand its trusted mental health services beyond youth to offer low-cost services to young adults, parents, and other underserved populations. This expansion will ensure that adults and families can access timely and affordable care.
Early Matters New Braunfels: As part of the Foundation’s early childhood care initiative, a three-year investment was committed to launch Early Matters New Braunfels. This funding will support program leadership, expand its resources, and raise awareness of the importance of high-quality and accessible childcare in our community.
Hill Country MHDD: Hill Country MHDD received an investment to strengthen the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team and embed a Mental Health Professional within the New Braunfels Police Department. This investment will support our neighbors experiencing mental health symptoms or crisis during 911 encounters, improving outcomes for both individuals and the broader community.
RecoveryWerks!: RecoveryWerks! received an investment to establish the first local state-approved Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program to meet rising demands. The program will be expert-led in collaboration with Lifetime Recovery and provides structured outpatient treatment for individuals with substance use disorders, coupled with family engagement and peer support.
Homelessness Prevention: Investments were allocated to homelessness prevention programs that help individuals to maintain utility service, avoid eviction, and stabilize households in Comal County. Those awarded include: Salvation Army, NB Housing Partners, Family Life Center, and CRRC of Canyon Lake.
