Kristen is the Program Officer for the McKenna Foundation. She began her career as a licensed social worker in 1996 and has spent 30 years working to strengthen families, organizations, and communities. Since joining McKenna in 2004, her work has evolved to include strategic grantmaking, nonprofit capacity building, and collaborative initiatives addressing gaps in community services.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Texas State University and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Our Lady of the Lake University. Her approach to philanthropy is grounded in direct service experience, strong relationships, mutual trust, and a commitment to community investments that create lasting impact.
