CONNECTIONS
Since 1981, Connections Individual and Family Services has expanded from an organization serving at-risk youth in Comal County to offering counseling, prevention, shelter, and youth transitional living across 17 counties.
Over the past year, Connections has provided services to 142 youths in Comal County through their emergency shelter and transitional living programs, continuing their commitment to fostering a community where everyone feels safe, empowered, and has the chance to lead a meaningful life.
In a recent capital project, Connections brought together their emergency youth shelter and transitional living program into a single facility. This integration allows youth to benefit from individual and communal spaces. The project also includes therapy rooms and bedrooms specifically designed to foster youth experiencing trauma. The new campus will additionally offer a counseling program designed to combat the growing mental health challenges that youth face.
