ACACIA
Acacia was established in 2006 as a nonprofit medical mission committed to providing free faith-based healthcare and wellness services for Comal County and its surroundings.
Since opening the health care clinic in 2011, Acacia has provided support for uninsured and underinsured individuals. Supported by United Way of Comal County, funders, HIS Center, local churches, and volunteers, Acacia offers primary medical care, wellness exams, testing, therapy, and prescription assistance, among other services.
With a geographical footprint spanning 216 square miles in western Comal County, Acacia provided services to nearly 900 underserved individuals, families, and children in 2022.
Additionally, Acacia’s providers engage in community outreach through initiatives like the McKenna-funded Wellness on Wheels (WOW Clinic), HOME Team, and First Footing programs.
